How many capsules a day should I take?

Celebrex is the trade name for Celecoxib capsules and the number of capsules taken for the treatment of different diseases is different as follows: 1. The dose for the treatment of osteoarthritis is 200mg orally once a day or 100mg orally twice a day. 2. The dose for rheumatoid arthritis is 100mg to 200mg taken orally twice daily. 3. For the treatment of acute pain, the dose is 400mg as the first dose on day 1 and, if necessary, an additional 200mg; followed by 200mg twice daily as needed. 4. For the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, the dose is 200mg daily in a single dose or in divided doses. 5. The dose should be reduced by approximately 50% in patients with moderate hepatic impairment, and the drug is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment. Celecoxib capsules are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that inhibit prostaglandin production by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2. Clinically the drug is used to relieve osteoarthritis, adult rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis; for the treatment of acute pain in adults. Adverse reactions to the drug include headache, dyspepsia, peripheral edema, and rash. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to celecoxib or any other component of the drug, in people who are allergic to sulfonamide; in patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, in patients with severe heart failure. Patients should be advised not to use low-dose aspirin along with Celecoxib; use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. If medication is required, it should be used under the supervision of a physician.
