Generally, lung nodules removed at the surgical site do not recur after surgery. If a lung nodule is found on examination after surgery, it may be the result of the growth of a previously very small lung nodule at a site other than the surgery site, or it may be a new lung nodule. If the lung nodule is malignant when it is cut down and examined, it may be a lung nodule that has metastasized from another site. If this is the case and the primary lesion is not removed, metastatic lesions can keep appearing. So after lung nodule surgery, for this part of the patient, there is a possibility that metastatic lung nodules may reappear. Therefore, regular review is still needed after lung nodule surgery, especially for malignant lung nodules, the frequency of review should be higher.
