The incidence of tricuspid regurgitation in China is around 50%, with the incidence increasing with age, and slightly more in men than women. Depending on the degree of tricuspid regurgitation, it can be classified as small, mild, moderate or severe, with small amounts of tricuspid regurgitation accounting for about 75% of patients overall, while mild to moderate patients account for about 20% and severe patients for about 5%.
