Tricuspid regurgitation reference values

The values for tricuspid regurgitation are mild meaning an ejection area of less than 4cm², a reverse flow of less than 30ml per beat and a reflux fraction of less than 30%. Moderate indicates an ejection area of 4-8 cm², a reverse flow of 30-59 ml per beat and a reflux fraction of 30%-49%. Severe means an ejection area greater than 8 cm², a reverse flow of 60 ml per beat and a flow rate greater than greater than 50%. Normally there should be no tricuspid regurgitation and no normal value of tricuspid regurgitant area. Tricuspid regurgitation is mainly diagnosed by color Doppler flow imaging with a diagnostic rate of up to 100%. Tricuspid regurgitation may also occur as a result of a physiological condition, and the presence of tricuspid regurgitation should be diagnosed by a cardiologist at a hospital. Tricuspid regurgitation is not an independent disease and may be caused by other conditions. Therefore, systemic disease should be evaluated and diagnosed.
