What does varicocele look like?

Varicose veins can be seen or felt as earthworm-like blood vessels in the patient’s scrotum, which we call varicose veins of the spermatic cord. Patients with varicocele may not have any symptoms, but in severe cases, it may be characterized by enlargement of the affected scrotum, accompanied by a feeling of swelling and pain, which will be aggravated by walking or standing for a long time, and relieved by lying down and resting, and in more severe cases, it may lead to testicular atrophy, decrease in the quality of semen, and infertility. In mild cases, varicocele can be left untreated with regular checkups, but if the symptoms are obvious or lead to decreased semen quality and infertility, surgical treatment should be actively considered. If you have varicocele, you should seek treatment promptly.
