Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) remedies are effective in treating thyroid nodules, but they cannot completely cure the disease. Thyroid nodules are a proliferative disease, and TCM prescriptions can relieve some of the symptoms caused by thyroid nodules, such as pain, edema, hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Chinese herbal remedies for thyroid nodules include Seaweed Yuhu Tang, Free and Easy San, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, Shen Xing Gua Pou Zhou San, and so on. For larger benign nodules that cause symptoms such as difficulty in swallowing and hoarseness, surgical removal is usually considered, and for malignant nodules, surgical removal is routinely used. In daily life, normal work and rest, avoid staying up too late, avoid over-excitement and sadness, ensure a reasonable intake of iodine in the diet, avoid excessive drinking and smoking, and avoid exposure to radioactive substances. Patients suffering from thyroid nodules should consult a doctor in time and avoid taking medication blindly so as not to jeopardize their condition.
