Probability of malignancy in adrenal adenomas

Adrenal adenomas are benign epithelial tumors of the cortical cells of the adrenal glands and are caused by an imbalance in adrenal secretion. It is unlikely that adrenal adenomas are malignant, and most adrenal adenomas are benign. Adrenal tumors usually show symptoms such as high blood pressure and memory loss, and are usually treated by surgery, such as laparoscopic tumor resection. After surgery, the patient should actively cooperate with the treatment to speed up the recovery. Medical research related to this disease shows that benign adrenal tumors account for more than 90%, and malignant ones are less than 10%, so patients don’t need to worry too much. Malignant adrenal tumors generally refer to adrenal cortical cancer and pheochromocytoma, while benign adrenal tumors are aldosterone tumors and Cushing’s adenomas. Pathological examination is usually needed to determine the benign and malignant tumors. Most of the adrenal adenomas are benign, and the probability of malignancy is not high. Patients should actively cooperate with doctors for treatment and keep a good attitude.
