Stenting can be clinically cured for patients with cerebrovascular stenosis only, but not for patients who have already suffered from cerebral infarction. 1. For patients without cerebral infarction, stenting mainly involves fixing the stent in the blood vessel to support and unblock the blood vessel, so as to restore the blood supply of the patient’s cranium and avoid cerebral infarction caused by insufficient cerebral blood supply due to narrowing of the blood vessel, and thus to achieve the therapeutic purpose. 2. For patients with cerebral infarction due to insufficient cerebral blood supply caused by severe cerebral vascular stenosis, due to the non-renewable nature of neurons, even after cerebral perfusion is restored through stenting, these infarcted brain cells cannot be restored, so this type of patients cannot be cured. Therefore, patients with cerebrovascular stenosis should have regular checkups and seek medical treatment as early as possible to avoid delays.
