When to not perform urethral dilatation

  Urethral dilatation is the use of urethral hard probe, through the urethra probe, mechanical massage expansion, can enhance local blood circulation, promote the role of scar tissue softening and infiltration absorption, for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of urethral stricture of the common basic operation method.  Contraindications to urethral dilatation: 1) acute inflammation of the urethra and prostate, or excessive urethral secretion may lead to the spread of inflammation; 2) suspected urethral tumor, urethral dilatation may lead to the risk of tumor implantation and dissemination; 3) urethral injury, mainly posterior urethra or bulbous urethra injury caused by pelvic fracture and perineal riding injury, urethral dilatation may aggravate the injury, resulting in perforation, false channel 4.Urethral fever and urinary tract infection after each dilatation; 5.Any type of urethral stricture, if the urethral dilatation once a week for 3-6 months has not received the expected effect or the effect is not good, other methods should be considered.
