How long is a course of sertraline for premature ejaculation

Sertraline is an antidepressant drug that is used to treat premature ejaculation and is usually used for a 2-month course of treatment. Sertraline is a 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor reuptake inhibitor and is usually used to treat depression. It is also used to treat premature ejaculation because it can prolong sexual intercourse by causing a lack of sexual pleasure. This drug has a controlling effect on the autonomic nervous system and can control ejaculation to a certain extent, so it is more effective in the treatment of premature ejaculation patients. The initial dose is taken for 5 weeks, after which the maintenance dose lasts for 3 weeks, so the duration of this drug is usually 2 months. Because of the dependence of this drug, patients should not stop taking it suddenly to avoid recurrence of symptoms. After taking sertraline, patients may experience side effects such as loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, etc. This is normal and should not be a cause for concern.
