The significance of tui na and massage in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

Different techniques of tui na and massage have different meanings. ①Anesthetic techniques: the operator uses the thumb or middle index finger at the nerves and acupuncture points that govern the limbs and joints, and gives the appropriate force to press the nerve roots and acupuncture points, to the extent that the patient’s limbs have a sore, numb and swollen feeling, to play the role of anesthesia and pain relief. ④Pressing and rotating: the operator holds the upper and lower joints with both hands, flexes and extends and rotates with appropriate force and range, gradually increasing the range of rotation from small to large and ending from large to small, repeated several times, which can tear off the adhesions between tissues, loosen the joints, strengthen muscle strength, expand joint space and promote functional recovery.
