Is it okay to have an ejection fraction of 58 after a heart attack

A history of previous myocardial infarction and a current cardiac ejection fraction of 58% indicate that the patient is recovering well. Ejection fraction is an important indicator of cardiac function, which represents the ratio of blood ejected from the heart at each ejection to the total blood held by the heart during diastole. The ejection fraction of a healthy adult at rest is above 55%. Thus a cardiac ejection fraction of 58% indicates a good recovery in patients with heart attacks. Evaluation of cardiac function after treatment of patients with myocardial infarction is also recommended to be analyzed in combination with cardiac index, cardiac output, blood pressure and other indicators. If the condition is stabilized, it is recommended to continue to maintain a light diet and abstain from smoking and alcohol. Myocardial infarction patients are recommended to have regular checkups during the treatment period and follow the doctor’s instructions.
