Can you jump rope with tenosynovitis?

Tenosynovitis most often occurs in the hands, may also occur in the ankle area, regardless of which part of the tenosynovitis is not recommended to jump rope until fully recovered.
1. Tenosynovitis of the hand: the hand is the most common part of tenosynovitis, most of them are caused by excessive labor of the hand or cold and other factors. If patients with tenosynovitis of the hands do rope skipping, their wrists need to keep rotating during rope skipping, which may aggravate the pain and swelling of tenosynovitis, so rope skipping is usually not recommended for patients with tenosynovitis of the hands.
2. Tenosynovitis of the ankle: tenosynovitis may also occur in the ankle area, and the mechanism of occurrence is the same as that of tenosynovitis of the hand. If patients with tenosynovitis of the ankle area engage in rope skipping, their ankles will be subjected to constant friction or impact during the rope skipping exercise, and this may lead to aggravation of the symptoms of tenosynovitis, therefore, it is not recommended to patients with tenosynovitis of the ankle area to engage in rope skipping exercise either.
If the diagnosis of tenosynovitis is confirmed, it is recommended to carry out standardized treatment as soon as possible in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
