What is meant by shoulder subluxation?

Shoulder subluxation means that the relationship between the humeral head and the scapular glenoid has not been completely lost, and part of the humeral head is located in the scapular glenoid, but part of it has been dislocated.
The causes of shoulder subluxation formation differ from those of shoulder dislocation, which is the complete detachment of the humeral head from the scapular glenoid caused by violent trauma.
Shoulder subluxation, on the other hand, is usually caused by rotator cuff injury or paraplegia, which causes the attachment of the humeral head to the glenoid of the scapula to be weakened, causing the head of the humerus to move downward, leading to subluxation.
The treatment for both is different. Shoulder dislocations are usually resolved with repositioning and immobilization. In the case of shoulder subluxation, if it is caused by rotator cuff injury, surgery is needed to repair the rotator cuff. If it is caused by hemiplegia, active treatment is needed to treat the primary disease.
If shoulder joint subluxation occurs, you should go to the hospital in time and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
