ABR test is the English abbreviation for Auditory Brainstem Response, which is used to determine hearing by evoking I-V waves through short acoustic stimulation and judging hearing according to the intensity of the smallest acoustic stimulus that evokes V waves. It is an objective method of checking hearing, and is generally used for review and diagnosis of hearing screening in pediatric patients, as well as objective hearing examination in adults, and examination and diagnosis of auditory neuropathy and auditory neuroma. This test generally requires sedative-hypnotic drugs to be performed, and the frequency range of the test is 2000-4000 Hz, so it also has some limitations. In order to solve this deficiency clinically, it can be combined with 40 Hz auditory potential for accurate assessment of hearing.
