Treatment of angina pectoris

The treatment of angina pectoris should be based on the principle of “treating the symptoms if urgent” and “treating the root cause if slow”, to stop pain during the attack period, to quickly control the disease and relieve heart pain, and to perform invasive treatment if necessary. If the nature of the disease is mainly solid, the treatment should be to relieve the pain, and then to support the righteousness of the disease and to provide treatment; if the nature of the disease is mainly deficient, the treatment should be to nourish the deficiency, and then to “honor the pain”, and at the same time to eliminate the evil; in the remission period, the treatment should be to nourish the deficiency, and to eliminate the evil. In the remission period, we should treat the root of the disease by tonifying the deficiency and dispelling the evil, and according to the different types of symptoms, we should tonify qi and nourish yin, invigorate blood circulation and dispel cold.
