Angina pectoris occurs mainly in the posterior sternal and precordial regions, and may also radiate to the left upper extremity, neck, and jaw.
1. Posterior sternum and precordial area: Angina pectoris is caused by ischemia of the heart, and the pain is felt most mainly in the posterior sternum, or precordial area (the projection area of the heart on the human body surface), which is usually in the range of palm size, and most of them are squeezing pain.
2. Left upper limb: angina may radiate to the left shoulder, the inner side of the left arm, the left ring finger, little finger and other places.
3. Neck and jaw: angina may also radiate to the neck, pharynx, jaw and other places, and sometimes manifests as toothache.
Angina pectoris is a type of coronary heart disease, mainly manifested as pain and discomfort in the chest, but if there is pain in the left upper extremity, toothache, etc. also need to be alert to the possibility of angina attack.
Some patients can also be manifested as gastric pain, mistaken for abdominal pain, diabetics, the elderly and other pain insensitive people angina attack can only be manifested as chest tightness, palpitations, fatigue and other atypical symptoms, but also need to be vigilant.
