Sometimes angina pectoris is felt in advanced stage of liver cancer, considering that it may be caused by cancer, or it may be caused by concurrent heart disease and portal hypertension.
1. Cancer causes: Late stage liver cancer may cause severe pain, sometimes the pain may radiate to the heart, and symptoms similar to angina pectoris, such as pressure pain, tightness, etc., but it is not angina pectoris.
2. Heart disease: For some older patients with advanced liver cancer, they may have heart disease, such as atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, etc., which may lead to angina pectoris.
3. Portal hypertension: advanced liver cancer can cause intrahepatic, prehepatic and posthepatic obstruction, which leads to elevated pressure of portal vein, resulting in congestion of gastric mucous membrane and rupture of esophageal-floor vein varices, which causes pain at the fossa of the heart, and is mistaken as angina pectoris.
There may be other reasons for feeling angina in advanced stage of liver cancer, so it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation in time, and give targeted treatment or therapy after perfect examination to clarify the cause.
