How long do stomach cramps usually hurt?

The duration of gastric cramp pain needs to be determined according to its cause and the severity of the condition. Generally, the pain can be gradually relieved in a few hours after the administration of antispasmodic and analgesic drugs and keeping warm. Gastric cramps are muscle convulsions of the stomach, a state of intense contraction of the stomach, mainly caused by functional neurological abnormalities or organic diseases of the stomach, often manifested as epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Stomach cramps are mainly treated symptomatically, and the pain can be gradually relieved in a few hours after giving antispasmodic and pain-relieving drugs, drinking warm water or using hot water bags to warm the abdomen, but the specific time varies from person to person. Generally irregular diet, overeating, eating cold and stimulating food, smoking and mental tension may trigger stomach cramps, and if the triggering factors cannot be removed, it may cause recurrent attacks. Usually, you should develop good habits, eat regularly and avoid overeating. If stomach cramps occur frequently, attention should be paid to finding the cause, and gastroscopy is recommended to exclude other organic lesions of the stomach and treat them at the root.
