What is hemolytic jaundice

Hemolytic jaundice is jaundice caused by hemolytic factors, hemolysis will cause increased destruction of red blood cells, the destruction of red blood cells after the release of excessive bilirubin, excessive bilirubin released into the blood, causing increased serum bilirubin, in the skin and mucous membranes there will be a clear jaundice manifestation, this is hemolytic jaundice. Hemolytic disease, for blood group incompatibility caused by homoimmune hemolysis, or by hereditary erythrocyte enzyme deficiencies or membrane defects (such as G6PD deficiency). Hemolytic jaundice can be divided into two different types: acute hemolytic jaundice and chronic hemolytic jaundice. Patients with acute hemolytic jaundice first need prompt rescue treatment, while chronic hemolytic jaundice is mainly disposed of by symptomatic and causative treatment. If symptoms of unexplained jaundice occur, prompt medical attention should be sought.
