How to treat gingivitis

Many patients have symptoms of bleeding gums, which generally manifest as swollen, congested gums that tend to bleed when they encounter irritation. The most common cause is excessive calculus irritating the gums, and is also closely related to dietary habits, staying up late and oral hygiene habits. Patients with hypertension, diabetes and thrombocytopenia are also prone to gum bleeding. If you have symptoms of bleeding gums, it is recommended that you go to the stomatology department of the hospital for an examination to first find the site of bleeding and then investigate the cause of bleeding. If you have too much calculus, we recommend scaling, which is an ultrasonic scaling machine to remove the calculus thoroughly, including supragingival and subgingival calculus, so that the calculus does not stimulate and irritate the gums and lead to gingivitis. It is usually recommended to maintain good oral hygiene, brush your teeth in the morning and evening, rinse your mouth after meals, drink more water, eat less spicy and stimulating food, pay attention to rest, do not stay up late, and increase physical exercise appropriately. Many patients may hear that scaling will destroy tooth enamel and cause damage to teeth. It can be clarified here that the damage to tooth enamel by regular scaling is extremely small and basically negligible. It is recommended that you go to a regular medical institution for scaling, which is guaranteed in terms of instrument sterilization in addition to operation standardization, in order to eliminate the possibility of acquiring infectious diseases when scaling.
