Right cerebellar cholesteatoma refers to an epidermoid cyst of the right cerebellum, originating from ectopic epidermal cells, which may also be called a pericycloma. The main treatment for this disease is surgical resection, and radiotherapy is also available. 1. Surgical treatment: During surgery, we should strive for total resection of the tumor. If there is more residue in the cyst envelope, it will easily lead to recurrence of epidermoid cyst. During surgery, care should be taken not to spill out the cyst contents and to protect the surrounding brain tissues. 2. Radiotherapy: a few epidermoid cysts may become malignant, and radiotherapy can be performed for these malignant epidermoid cysts. Benign epidermoid cysts are not sensitive to radiotherapy, but there are some case reports that some patients with benign epidermoid cysts have reduced the size of the cysts after receiving radiotherapy. For patients diagnosed with right cerebellar cholesteatoma, they should immediately go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals for treatment under the guidance of professional physicians, so as to avoid delays and adverse consequences.
