Identification of sigmoiditis in Chinese medicine

Sigmoiditis belongs to the category of diarrhea in Chinese medicine, which can be divided into cold and dampness, dampness and heat obstruction (dampness and heat gathering to form stagnation), food stagnation in the stomach and intestines, liver qi multiplying the spleen (liver qi overgrowth invading the spleen), spleen and stomach weakness, and kidney and yang deficiency and decline.
1. Cold and dampness: manifested as diarrhea and watery diarrhea, even as watery diarrhea, stuffy epigastrium with little food, abdominal pain and intestinal tinnitus, etc. The treatment is to aromatize the dampness and remove the cold from the surface of the body.
2. Damp-heat obstruction: manifested as diarrhea and abdominal pain, rapid diarrhea, or diarrhea but not refreshing, yellowish-brown foul stool, burning anus, etc. The treatment should be clearing heat and drying dampness, or even as watery, with little food, abdominal pain and intestinal ringing. 5. Weakness of the spleen and stomach: loose stools and watery diarrhea; diarrhea is aggravated by eating cold, oily or hard-to-digest food, or even undigested food in the stools; accompanied with little food and dullness (lack of appetite and reduced food intake), stuffiness in the epigastric region and a yellowish complexion. The treatment is to strengthen the spleen, benefit the stomach, promote dampness and stop diarrhea.
6. Kidney-Yang deficiency: diarrhea mostly before dawn, abdominal pain, intestinal tinnitus that is diarrhea, diarrhea after the peace, cold (cold body) cold limbs, lumbar and knee soreness and weakness, urination long, or increased nocturia. The treatment is to warm the kidneys and strengthen the spleen, fix the astringent diarrhea.
