Pleural pull sign is also known as pleural depression and pleural tail sign. Clinical manifestation of pleural pull sign is linear and curtain-like shadow between tumor and pleura, which is a harbinger of early lung cancer. The pleural pull sign refers to the linear or curtain-like shadow, or star-like shadow, between the tumor and pleura, which is caused by the scar tissue within the tumor pulling the adjacent pleura. Typical manifestation is a trumpet shape with the base located at the tip of pleura connected with the mass, which is commonly seen in patients with lung cancer, and multiple pulling signs can be seen, and two pleural pulling signs can be manifested as rabbit ear sign. Pleural pulling sign is one of the clinical manifestations of early lung cancer, but not absolutely lung cancer, chronic inflammation can also lead to pleural pulling sign, usually thickening or adhesion between lung lesion and neighboring pleura, commonly leading to chronic lesions such as spherical pneumonia and tuberculosis ball.
