Surgery for patellar dislocation (non-standardized medical term: patellar malposition) usually requires about 7~10 days of hospitalization. After patients undergo radical patellar dislocation surgery, if their condition recovers well and there is no redness, swelling, oozing, pain and other symptoms at the incision, they can be discharged from the hospital in about 7~10 days. Most of the patients with patella dislocation can be reset on their own, while a few with severe knee ligament injury, intra-articular fracture and repeated dislocation need to be treated by surgery. Surgery for patella dislocation is generally performed by tightening the ligaments and joint capsule to maintain the stability of the knee joint and to balance the left and right forces, in order to restore and maintain the normal anatomical structure of the patella. If the patient has patellar dislocation, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, after a clear diagnosis for standardized treatment, in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
