Can laryngeal edema be treated?

The cause of laryngeal oedema varies in difficulty of treatment. If it causes shock, airway obstruction, etc., tracheal intubation or tracheotomy is usually required, and there are risk factors such as infection that can worsen symptoms in the process. If symptoms are not severe, laryngeal oedema can usually be effectively relieved with medication. In general, if first aid and treatment is timely, appropriate and the treatment process is standardised, a cure can usually be achieved.
