The medication used for laryngeal oedema depends on the cause of the condition and there is usually no fixed preferred medication for the single symptom of laryngeal oedema. Antibiotics and glucocorticoids are usually the treatment of choice for acute inflammation of the larynx caused by inflammation of the throat, such as acute laryngitis and acute epiglottitis, while epinephrine is the first-line drug for anaphylaxis.
