Effects of Er Chen Wan plus Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan

Taken together, Er Chen Wan and Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan have the effects of nourishing yin and lowering fire, drying dampness and resolving phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm), regulating qi and harmonizing the stomach, and can treat the symptoms of yin deficiency and fire, and phlegm-dampness congestion.
Er Chen Wan is composed of Pinellia, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Poria, Glycyrrhiza Glabra, and Ginger, which has the effects of drying dampness and resolving phlegm, regulating Qi and harmonizing the stomach; while Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is composed of Zhi Mu, Phellodendron Bark, Rehmanniae Dioctonatae, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Oyster Peel, Chinese Yen Bai, Poria, and Ze Xue Di Pi, which has the effects of nourishing Yin and lowering fire.
When both Yin deficiency and phlegm-dampness are present at the same time, there are hot flashes and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), dry mouth and sore throat, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, coughing and phlegm, nausea and vomiting, and drowsiness of limbs, etc., the treatment is mainly to dry dampness and resolve phlegm, nourish Yin and lower the fire, and the combination of the above two drugs is optional.
