Are the four symptoms of an upset stomach real?

There is no such thing as “four symptoms of an upset stomach”. An upset stomach can be caused by acute gastroenteritis, gastric ulcer, gastric cancer, etc. Different diseases have different symptoms, which are mainly characterized by stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, black stools, and vomiting of blood.
1. Acute gastroenteritis: it can be caused by bacteria, virus, parasites, and chemical substances. The main manifestations are vomiting, diarrhea, fever and other symptoms. Acute onset and duration of illness is 1~2 weeks.
2. Gastric ulcer: stomach pain is its typical manifestation, which may last for a long time or a short time, usually fullness pain, often recurring for a period of time; accompanied by nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood, tarry stools; it may be combined with systemic discomforts, such as dizziness, loss of appetite, poor mental health, and so on.
3. Gastric cancer: early symptoms are atypical, some of them are similar to dyspepsia, manifesting as bloating, indigestion, mild epigastric pain; in the middle stage, abdominal pain starts, and it is more persistent; in the late stage, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, vomiting blood, tarry stools and so on, and general malnutrition manifestations such as anemia and weight loss start to appear.
