The length of life after ovarian cancer surgery is mainly related to the pathological type of ovarian cancer, clinical stage and individual patient’s condition, which cannot be generalized. Among them, clinical stage is the most important, and the earlier the stage, the better the prognosis. In early stage of ovarian cancer, the tumor cells are only confined to the ovaries and the patient’s previous physical condition is good, so the 5-year survival rate can reach 90% through surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. If the patient is in the middle or late stage of ovarian cancer, the tumor cells have metastasized distantly and the 5-year survival rate after surgery is only 10%, and the survival time is usually 2-5 years or even less than 1 year. In addition, the prognosis of elderly patients is not as good as that of young patients. Therefore, it is recommended that women regularly go to gynecology or oncology departments of regular hospitals for corresponding examinations to achieve early detection, early intervention and early treatment in order to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time.
