What are the ways of mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B?

One in ten people in society are hepatitis B carriers, so how can couples of childbearing age maximize their chances of having a healthy baby and interrupt the mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B is a common concern. There are three main ways to transmit hepatitis B from mother to child, one is through the umbilical cord and blood during pregnancy, one is through the birth canal during delivery, and the other is through breastfeeding. For pregnant women with hepatitis B virus, on the one hand, drugs can be used to minimize the ability of the hepatitis B virus in the pregnant woman to transmit to the fetus, and on the other hand, immunization methods can be used to block the hepatitis B virus from the mother after the baby is born. Currently, the latter method is advocated by the Chinese Medical Association’s Hepatology Section.
