What types of chest wall deformities are there?

  Chest wall deformities can be caused by congenital developmental abnormalities or secondary to acquired disorders, such as thoracic spine deformities, rickets or intrathoracic disorders.  Congenital chest wall deformities are more common and can be divided into the following categories: 1, rib deformities; 2, funnel chest; 3, chicken chest; 4, Poland syndrome; 5, sternal fracture; 6, others, such as asphyxial thoracic dysplasia (Jeune syndrome) and rib structure dysplasia with malformations of the spine and ribs.
