There are many pathological types of cervical cancer, but the most common cervical cancer is squamous cancer, which can account for more than 90% of cervical cancers, so the incidence rate of squamous cancer is the highest. However, squamous carcinoma is more sensitive to radiotherapy. For early stage squamous cervical cancer, the cure rate can reach 80%-90% through surgical treatment and post-surgical radiotherapy. For advanced squamous cervical cancer without distant metastasis, the cure rate through radiotherapy is also quite high, and can reach 40%-50%. However, if stage IV squamous cervical cancer has metastasis in other parts of the body, including lungs, liver, brain and bones, and if metastasis occurs in these places, the cure rate will be very low.
