How long does it take to recover from laser eye surgery

After eye laser surgery for myopia, it takes about 3 to 6 months for the average patient to recover more completely from laser surgery, and a few people may take longer, depending on the individual.
Under normal circumstances, patients’ vision can gradually recover and stabilize after 1 to 2 weeks after myopic laser surgery. However, corneal wounds take longer to recover, probably around 3 to 6 months, to return to a more normal state. Due to individual differences, some patients need even longer time to adjust and adapt to gradually recover, such as patients with postoperative complications.
Patients need to avoid looking at electronic products for a long period of time in the early postoperative period, which may easily cause visual fatigue and dry eye, which is not conducive to the recovery of the eyes.
It is recommended that post-laser myopia patients follow the doctor’s instructions, have regular checkups, and consult a doctor when discomfort occurs.
