What is the normal standard vision of the eyes

The standard vision of the eye is around 1.0, which is about 5.0. Usually adults or children over the age of 6 should have a visual acuity of about 1.0. When a child is first born, his or her vision may be around 0.01, and as he or she ages and grows, the visual function of the eye gradually develops completely. At about half an age, they may have about 0.1 vision, by the age of 1 they may have about 0.2-0.3 vision, at the age of 3-4 they should have about 0.6 vision, generally at the age of 4-6 they should have about 0.8 vision, and above the age of 6 they should reach the standard vision of about 1.0. If your child’s vision is significantly lower than the normal vision standard for his or her age, he or she needs to undergo an optometric examination for refractive error. If myopia or hyperopia exists, glasses are needed to correct the prescription and improve vision.
