Schizophrenia, which is a severe psychosis, is the most serious type of psychosis. It has an unknown etiology, mostly in young adults, and has an insidious onset. Clinically, it is characterized by multiple disorders of thinking, emotion, behavior, and incompatibility between mental activities and the surrounding environment. Patients are generally conscious and their intelligence is basically normal. Schizophrenia is the most common type of psychosis. In the absence of brain lesions, it manifests as disorders in thinking, emotion and volitional behavior, with incoordination of mental activities as the prominent symptom. Depending on the clinical symptoms, there are five types, including paranoid, adolescent, catatonic, simple and other types. The disease is most common in adolescents, especially in young people. The onset of the disease is mostly in spring. The prognosis of this disease is not good, especially the simple and youthful types are worse.
