What is a dense shadow in the left upper lung?

High density shadow in the left upper lung is an imaging description of lung examination, suggesting lung inflammation, tuberculosis and lung tumor.
1. Inflammation of the lungs: Due to localized inflammatory exudation after lung infection, lung examination may show a dense shadow in the lungs.
2. Tuberculosis: patients with tuberculosis usually have high density shadows with fuzzy edges in the upper lungs. If there is a history of tuberculosis in the past, and it is cured through treatment, the localized calcified foci will be formed in the form of stripes, and calcified shadows can be seen.
3. Lung tumor: if there is lung occupation, it will also be manifested as high density shadow in the lungs, which needs to be further clarified by lung CT, MRI and puncture examination, and then treated in time.
If there is high density shadow in the left upper lung, it is recommended to further clarify the diagnosis and timely treatment.
