Antacid bacillus 1+ is defined as a positive sputum smear test for antacid bacilli, suggesting that the patient may have an infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which can mostly be cured after receiving treatment as early as possible.
Antacid bacillus is the most common test for the diagnosis of tuberculosis, and the most common bacteria for antacid bacillus are mycobacteria, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium leprae. In clinical practice, a positive antacid bacillus test is suggestive of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, but it is not 100% conclusive, and a culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis needs to be taken to confirm the diagnosis.
If there is a positive test of antacid bacilli, it is often necessary to take anti-tuberculosis treatment in a timely manner, early treatment is conducive to the prognosis of the disease, usually the course of treatment is 6 to 9 months, in strict compliance with the doctor’s orders, timely adjustment of drug dosage and type, standardized treatment in the background, usually can be cured.
It is worth noting that if the patient’s first two months of treatment is good, not a sign of cured, shall not stop without authorization, easy to recur, affecting the prognosis.
