What is this sudden headache?

Neuropathic headache is a common type of headache caused by the contraction of the fascia or muscles of the scalp due to mental tension or emotional stress, which leads to throbbing or pulsating headache. There are many causes, such as stress, brain stimulation, insomnia, or high nervous tension, which may trigger a neuropathic headache. In this case, patients are advised to take symptomatic oral medications to terminate the headache attacks, such as aminoglutethimide tablets, ibuprofen extended-release capsules, indomethacin and other medications to improve the headache. Patients can also reduce the headache attacks by acupuncture and head massage in Chinese medicine.
