Treatment of tear duct obstruction, dacryocystitis, dacryoadenitis and dry eye

Tear duct obstruction and dry eye are the most common clinical conditions. The causes of tear duct obstruction include inflammation, trauma, tumor, congenital abnormality and parasites, etc. Among them, chronic lacrimal sac inflammation is the most common, manifesting as lacrimation and pus flowing from the eyes, and acute attack with red, swollen and painful skin in the lower part of the inner corner of the eye, which can lead to blindness and even life-threatening intracranial invasion. Dry eye syndrome, on the other hand, is characterized by dry eyes, burning pain, foreign body sensation, etc., and in severe cases, it causes vision loss and blurred vision. The hospital’s Ophthalmology Tear Diseases Center is a specialized diagnosis and treatment center for tear duct obstruction, trauma, tumors, congenital anomalies, lacrimal sacculitis, lacrimal glanditis tear gland prolapse and dry eye disease, and accepts referrals of difficult cases of tear diseases from all over the country.
