”Cerebral stroke is also known as “stroke” and “cerebrovascular accident” ( cerebralvascularaccident (CVA). It is an acute cerebrovascular disease, which is a group of diseases caused by the sudden rupture of blood vessels in the brain or the blockage of blood vessels, resulting in the failure of blood flow to the brain and causing brain tissue damage. The incidence of ischemic stroke is higher than that of hemorrhagic stroke, accounting for 60% to 70% of all strokes. Occlusion and stenosis of the internal carotid artery and vertebral artery can cause ischemic stroke, which is more common in men than in women over the age of 40 and can cause death in severe cases. The mortality rate of hemorrhagic stroke is high. Surveys show that stroke has become the first cause of death in China in both urban and rural areas combined, and the leading cause of disability in Chinese adults. Stroke is characterized by high incidence, high mortality and high disability rates. Different types of stroke are treated in different ways. Because of the persistent lack of effective treatment, prevention is currently considered the best measure, with hypertension and hyperlipidemia being important controllable risk factors for stroke; therefore, antihypertensive and lipid-lowering treatment is particularly important to prevent stroke onset and recurrence. Education on stroke risk factors and aura symptoms should be strengthened to prevent and treat stroke. 1. Vascular risk factors The most common cause of stroke is a small embolus in the inner wall of the blood supplying vessels of the brain, which is dislodged and leads to arterial-arterial embolism, i.e. ischemic stroke. It may also be caused by bleeding from a cerebral vessel or thrombus, a hemorrhagic stroke. Heart valves in patients with coronary artery disease with atrial fibrillation are prone to wall-attached thrombi, which can block cerebral vessels when the emboli are dislodged and can also lead to ischemic stroke. Other factors are hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia. Among them, hypertension is the most important risk factor for stroke development in Chinese population, especially the abnormally high blood pressure in early morning. Studies have found that early morning hypertension is the strongest independent predictor of stroke events, and the risk of ischemic stroke is four times higher in the early morning hours, with a 44% increase in stroke risk for every 10 mmHg increase in early morning blood pressure. The main cause of stenosis and occlusion of the internal carotid or vertebral arteries is atherosclerosis. In addition, collagen disorders, arterial changes in hypertension, wind heart disease or arteritis, hematologic diseases, metabolic diseases, drug reactions, tumors, intimal hyperplasia and hypertrophy caused by connective tissue diseases, carotid artery trauma, tumor compression of the carotid artery, carotid artery thrombosis associated with pediatric cervical lymphadenitis and tonsillitis, and congenital carotid artery torsion can cause internal carotid artery stenosis and occlusion, or bleeding due to vessel rupture lead to stroke. Cervical spondylosis osteomalacia or cranial base entrapment compressing vertebral artery can also cause vertebral artery ischemia. 2, gender, age, race and other factors Studies have found that the incidence of stroke in our population is higher than that of heart disease, in contrast to the European and American populations. 3, poor lifestyle Usually there are multiple risk factors at the same time, such as smoking, unhealthy diet, obesity, lack of moderate exercise, excessive alcohol consumption and high homocysteine; and the presence of some underlying diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. All increase the risk of stroke.
