Commonly used Chinese patent medicines for tonifying lung qi include Yubing Feng Granules and Lung Tonic Pills.
1. Yupingfeng Granules has the efficacy of benefiting qi, fixing the surface and stopping sweating, and is used for treating superficial deficiency (weak muscle surface leading to abnormal sweating out), spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement), malignant winds, whitish and white color, or those who are weak and susceptible to wind evils. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear.
2. Lung tonic pill has the effect of tonifying lung and benefiting qi, relieving cough and asthma (stopping cough and calming wheezing), used for the treatment of lung qi insufficiency, shortness of breath and coughing, weak cough, dry cough and phlegm viscous, dry throat and tongue and other conditions. This product is contraindicated for people with external cough. The adverse effects of this product are not clear.
