Finger Wrapping Methods

Finger bandaging methods need to be based on the finger injury, including direct compression hemostasis, finger root pressure bandage, wrist pressure bandage.

1. Direct compression hemostasis: when the injured finger is not severed, you can choose clean gauze to cover the wound directly, and use a bandage to stop bleeding with pressure.

2. Wrist compression bandage: when the injured finger bleeds more or the effect of compression hemostasis is not good, the wrist can be compressed to stop bleeding.

3. Finger root pressure bandage: when the injured finger is severed, the proximal finger heel wound should be bandaged with clean gauze. For the distal end of the severed knuckle, it is usually wrapped with clean gauze and put into a plastic bag, and put into the ice box for low temperature preservation, and then sent to the hospital for re-implantation of the severed finger.

The above are only some of the bandaging methods for finger trauma. If the finger trauma is more serious, please go to the hospital in time to avoid adverse consequences.
