Complications of Kidney Transplantation

Complications of kidney transplantation mainly include transplantation rejection, infection and cardiovascular and hematologic system. 1. Transplantation rejection: it is mainly an immune reaction between the recipient and the transplanted kidney. 2. Infection: the application of immunosuppression after transplantation can affect the immune function of patients and cause the occurrence of infection. 3. Cardiovascular system complications: acute and chronic rejection, arteriosclerosis or stenosis of the transplanted kidney, new-onset glomerulonephritis, steroids, hypercalcemia and so on can cause the occurrence of hypertension and hyperlipidemia. 4. Hematologic complications: Hematologic complications of renal transplantation include erythrocytosis, myelosuppression, blood rheology changes, deep vein thrombosis and so on. There may be other complications of renal transplantation. If patients feel uncomfortable, they need to consult the doctor in time for examination and early treatment.
