A broken foot can recover on its own.
A broken foot is usually healed within three to four weeks.
A sprained foot, which is a localized soft tissue injury not associated with a fracture, usually recovers in three to four weeks, provided it is rested or braked.
Serious ligament tears need to be immobilized, either in a cast or in a brace. After three weeks of immobilization, you can start walking slowly. Mild sprains do not require immobilization, but walking on the ground should be reduced.
If a sprained foot occurs, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment.
