Yellow urine with foam may be a normal physiological phenomenon such as drinking less water, or it may be caused by pathological factors, such as liver and gallbladder diseases, urinary tract infections, nephritis and so on.
1. Physiological factors: physiological factors are mainly due to drinking less water, sweating more resulting in reduced urine production, urine concentration. The color of urine will be more yellow after it is concentrated. At the same time, the urine concentration will be more foam when urinating. However, patients generally have no symptoms, urine routine examination is not abnormal; male sex after the urethra in the prostate fluid, can also cause urine foam increase.
2. Pathological factors: most commonly seen in urinary tract infections, liver and gallbladder diseases, nephritis and so on. Liver and gallbladder diseases can lead to elevated bilirubin in the urine, thus causing yellow urine foam; urinary tract infections can lead to elevated white blood cells in the urine or even elevated red blood cells, the color of the urine will be more yellow, more foam; nephritis and other diseases are also prone to cause an increase in the urine foam, and if the water consumption is low, the urine will also be yellow.
