Patients with benign asymptomatic thyroid nodules can usually be vaccinated, but for thyroid nodules with special conditions such as malignant nodules, vaccination needs to be withheld. In the case of malignant thyroid nodules, thyroid nodules that produce pressure symptoms, or nodules that are combined with abnormal thyroid function, medication and surgery are required under the guidance of a doctor as soon as possible. In such cases, it is recommended that vaccination should be postponed until the condition is stabilized. If thyroid nodules are combined with hyper- or hypothyroidism and the condition is not yet under control, the vaccination may worsen the condition. Whether or not a thyroid nodule can be vaccinated should be determined after a comprehensive evaluation by an endocrine specialist as well as the health and disease control authorities.
