How to calculate height and weight standards

The calculation methods of height and weight standards for adults and children and adolescents are different, and are described as follows:
1. Adult height and weight standards are commonly calculated using the body mass index formula, i.e. BMI: i.e. body weight (kg) / height (m) square. Adult BMI less than 18.5 for underweight, BMI in 18.5 ~ 23.9 for normal weight, BMI in 24 ~ 27.9 for overweight, BMI greater than equal to 28 for obesity.
2. Children’s height and weight are calculated differently according to their age:
(1) Age in 1 ~ 6 months weight: birth weight (kg) + age x 0.6
(2) age 7 ~ 12 months weight: birth weight (kg) + age x 0.5 months
(3) Age 12 months: Weight 10kg, Height 75cm
(4) Age between 1~12 years old: weight for age (years) ×2+8, height for age (years) ×7+75 (cm) for 2~12 years old.
If your height and weight are abnormal, you should adjust your diet and exercise status in time, and if necessary, go to the hospital to consult the relevant specialized doctors.
