The procedures I have performed are essentially bleed-free. The surgical damage is minimized.
If the size of the tonsils is between removal and preservation, and you are afraid of future hyperplasia and reoperation, you can choose partial removal of the tonsils: 1) ablation of the tonsils by perforation; 2) removal of the upper part of the tonsils. This reduces the size of the tonsils and preserves the immune function of the tonsils. However, the indications for surgery should be good: 1-2 degrees of tonsillar hypertrophy and no history of recurrent tonsillitis.
The surgery is less invasive and the patient can be discharged the day after surgery.
