There is no quick way to remove pediatric jaundice, and it has to be differentiated according to the situation. If it is physiological jaundice or breast milk jaundice, no special treatment is needed; if it is pathological jaundice, it can be treated with light therapy. 1. Physiological jaundice: neonatal jaundice is the most common pediatric jaundice, which is a normal physiological phenomenon during the development of newborns. It is a normal physiological phenomenon during the development of newborn babies. It does not need special treatment and can subside by itself. 2. Breast milk jaundice: due to certain enzymes in breast milk, bilirubin intestinal-hepatic circulation increases, resulting in jaundice. Breast milk jaundice does not need special treatment. It can usually be relieved by increasing the amount and frequency of breastfeeding. 3. Pathological jaundice: it is caused by abnormal bilirubin metabolism which leads to increase of bilirubin level, or it may be caused by decrease of liver cell function or decrease of liver cell volume. Generally, it can be treated by light therapy, which is mainly to hydrolyze the unbound bilirubin in the baby’s body by irradiating blue light, so that the bilirubin can be discharged from the body more easily. If the symptoms of pediatric jaundice are severe, or accompanied by other symptoms, you should go to the hospital in time, to identify the cause and then give targeted treatment.
